Global Procurement Processes phase II

30.08 2016
Oil companies/rig owners, yards, engineering companies and oil and gas suppliers are all players in the global procurement processes. Each of them have their own roles and responsibilities, and they are all dependent on each other.

INTSOK has in Phase 2 of the Global Procurement Processes project mapped the decision-making processes for international oil companies (IOCs), and in particular when they carry out investment projects. We have also touched upon how the IOCs use their corporate frame agreements globally and have collected information on the way in for the different IOCs.
The report is based on in-depth interviews with 6 IOCs, Statoil, BP, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, Shell and Total.
This report is a result of a study by INTSOK on global procurement processes, with particular focus on the International Oil Companies (IOCs). The study was performed by Gunn Vik (INTSOK Regional Director Shipyards China, Korea and Singapore) and Per Hagen (INTSOK Regional Director USA, Mexico and South East Asia).
