Workshop Exploiting the Recovery Factor

Oil & gas upstream

25 June 2019

Market: Brazil

Location: Rio de Janerio

Norwegian Energy Partners (NORWEP), representing the capabilities of the Norwegian energy industry within Upstream Oil and Gas, invites you to attend the workshop Exploiting the Recovery Factor, developed in cooperation with Equinor and supported by the Royal Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro.

In 2017, National Petroleum Agency (ANP) estimated the O&G recovery factor of the Campos Basin to be 23% while the world average final O&G recovery factor is 35%.

1% increased recovery factor of the Campos Basin represents approximately 985 million boe and 1% increase in onshore fields represents 200 Million boe in new reserves.

Over the years, the production in the Campos Basin has been declining. There is a need for the Campos Basin to be revitalized, assets to be extend and to attract new investments.

ANP has encouraged activities to increase mature fields attractiveness.

We understand the potential opportunities for the industry to support the Oil Companies to meet these important targets. There will be a need to identify innovative and cost effective solutions to improve and enhance the oil recovery.

The supplier industry is interested to learn about the Oil Companies challenges' within this area and wants to assist with sustainable solutions.

From 13:30 – 15:30  We will arrange speed dating sessions of 10 min B2B meetings with Equinor. NORWEP partners will be prioritized. To book B2B meetings, please contact Rosemarie Frigstad Luke:
