INTSOK hosted a Seminar to showcase Norwegian companies' capabilities in St. John's, Canada on Thursday 17 September 2015.

Norway is at the forefront in terms of technology and expertise for safe and environmentally sound exploration development and production of oil and gas in harsh environments, and Norwegian companies have proven to be competitive internationally. Norwegian technologies and services are by far the biggest export articles, after oil and gas.

To showcase our capabilities in these areas, INTSOK, the Norwegian Oil and Gas Partners - in cooperation with the Norwegian Embassy in Ottawa, and Innovation Norway in Toronto - hosted  a Brownfield Seminar in St. John's at the Delta Hotel on Thursday 17 September 2015.

Deputy Premier Honourable Steve Kent and Norwegian Petroleum & Energy Minister, Mr. Tord Lien, opened the Seminar. Main included:

  • Cost effective Maintenance and Operations
  • Cost effective Drilling and Well Intervention
  • Improved Oil Recovery

The Seminar was concluded with an evening cocktail reception with clients and contractors for an opportunity to network in a relaxed setting. The Norwegian ambassador to Canada: Her Excellency Mona Elisabeth Brøther was the reception host.
