Norwegian Energy Partners is organising an offshore wind fact finding trip to Taiwan from 9-13 April 2018. The Taiwanese offshore wind market is one of the fastest growing in Asia and at the same time possibly the most accessible one. Taiwan has some of the best wind resources in the region and attractive natural geography for installation of offshore wind farms. The government is supportive, with strong renewable energy ambitions and a 0.5 GW target of installed capacity by 2020 and 3 GW by 2025 as part of a larger plan to replace 8GW of existing nuclear power by 2025. These ambitious goals are supported by attractive governmental support.
