Floating Offshore Wind UK 2018Wind energy
Join NORWEP for a delegation visit to Aberdeen in connection with Renewable UK and Scottish Renewables' Floating Offshore Wind UK 2018 conference and exhibition, UK’s dedicated floating offshore wind event.
Crown Estate Scotland has launched a consultation on the next leasing round, with the first agreements expected to be signed early in 2019. The majority of these sites (aspirations for 2GW to 8GW) are in water depths of >60m and therefore require floating. Floating wind is a disruptive technology and many of the technology problems have only recently been discovered. Therefore, innovations and solutions in the supply chain are needed now.
Why join the delegation visit?
Norway and Scotland have a long history of co-operation in O&G and this could present a new opportunity for Norwegian companies to provide original and innovative technologies, potentially manufactured through local Scottish partners to provide benefits to both parties.
NORWEP is organising B2B meetings and a valuable networking reception during Floating Offshore Wind UK, creating opportunities for Norwegian companies to connect with floating offshore wind players and learn about current opportunities.
NORWEP activities during Floating Offshore Wind UK:
29th October: Networking reception in cooperation with Renewable UK, Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group and the Norwegian Embassy
30th October: B2B meetings and Floating Offshore Wind UK 2018 conference and exhibition. Confirmed stakeholders for B2B meetings include:
