Enabling Technologies for Low Cost Facilities, Remote Operations and Management of Critical Information
Following from last year's successful visits to contractors and oil companies in the UK, we are planning to repeat this event this year over a three day period, 30th, 31st May and 1st of June. The theme for the 2018 event will be, "Enabling Technologies for Low Cost Facilities, Remote Operations and Management of Critical Information".
Market conditions in the UK remain similar to 2017 in that low cost technology is of real interest to International Contractors and Operators who are based in the UK and who service projects globally from their UK engineering hub - or who have existing operations in the UK sector of the North Sea. Such technology is seen as a means of potentially unlocking marginal projects, extending the life of Brownfield operations and generally lowering both CAPEX and OPEX.
Similarly, there is increased interest in enabling remote operations and the digitalisation of day to day production operations and maintenance by down-manning offshore facilities and creating onshore operations centres.
Partner company participation in the Roadshow will therefore be a combination of those who can present technologies to reduce the cost of oil and gas facilities (equipment for subsea, topsides, pipelines, floaters, onshore plant, etc) or enable remote operations including the management of business critical information and key data.
Once again, meetings arranged with UK companies will be in both London and Aberdeen and the location for each event will be confirmed nearer the time.
This year we are asking to meet with the following companies:
Front End Engineering Consultants:
- Granhern (part of KBR - London)
- Genesis (London)
- Xodus (London)
- Petrofac (London & Aberdeen)
- WorleyParsons (London & Aberdeen)
- Wood (London & Aberdeen)
- Aker Solutions (London & Aberdeen)
- Premier Oil (Aberdeen)
- Nexen (Aberdeen)
- Repsol (Aberdeen)
- Chrysaor (Aberdeen)
We will confirm the final list of those companies agreeing to host the Roadshow by mid May.
The format for the event will be the same as last year with each partner company having 15 / 20 minutes to present their technology / value proposition including questions and answers. Follow-up meetings can then be arranged afterwards outside of the main Roadshow event.
If you wish to participate in the 2018 UK Roadshow events please register your interest. Once we have full clarity on the UK companies taking part and the timetable / locations we will confirm your participation and cost of participation before finalising the Roadshow programme.
Please note that dates may change!
