Team Norway at WindEnergy Hamburg 2024: Showcasing Norwegian innovation on the global stage

The Team Norway delegation had a large presence at WindEnergy Hamburg 2024, presenting cutting-edge Norwegian technology to the international market through a series of seminars, panel discussions, and a standout presence at the Norway Pavilion. Supported by the NORWEP renewables team, Norway’s strong presence highlighted its leadership in the global energy transition.

With over 200 delegates from more than 80 companies, the Norwegian delegation engaged with key stakeholders, developers, and decision-makers in a variety of forums. Topics such as floating wind, HVDC & HVAC substations, hydrogen integration, and digitalization in offshore wind were at the center of discussions. Numerous B2B meetings between Norwegian companies and potential clients were organised, with many ongoing at the time of publication.

The Norway Pavilion also served as a hub for successful networking events, creating valuable business opportunities for Norwegian firms. A prestigious reception hosted by the Norwegian Embassy provided a further platform for industry leaders to connect.

WindEnergy Hamburg 2024 once again underscored the critical role of networking and reaffirmed Norway’s innovative contributions to the wind energy sector, strengthening international collaborations and driving the industry forward.

What we offered:

HVDC and HVAC substation ecosystem - Organised by Norwegian Energy Partners (NORWEP)

It is projected that nearly 150 offshore substations and converter stations will be installed by the end of this decade, with up to 120 of these installations concentrated in Europe.

Floating wind turbines are situated far from shore, meaning we could see the first floating substations in the early 2030’s.

NORWEP have invited the value chain for this seminar. TSOs, developers, engineers, EPCs, yards, and certification agencies will have the opportunity to meet the Norwegian Supply Chain that will present their solutions in form of a short pitching session.

You will hear from Rystad Energy on their view on the Substation market outlook up to 2035.

Eksfin Export Finance. Eksfin can provide government loans and guarantees for promoting specific sales contracts abroad, investments in Norway that contribute to exports, or other transactions that help to generate value and employment within Norway.
