Taiwan

Taiwan is one of the fastest growing offshore wind markets in Asia and at the same time possibly the most accessible one.  Taiwan’s total offshore wind power installation capacity surpassed 3GW and ranked 5th globally in 2024.

Taiwan government is in process of extending from offshore wind farm as foundation to the multi-use marine area to maximize the value of ocean space. Several area of technologies are identified including Underwater anti-corrosion, floating marine renewable energy systems, and underwater drone( UUV/ROV/AUV).

Taiwanese offshore wind industry is growing fast and expending their business and projects into APAC region with their Taiwan Experiences.   The Norwegian offshore and maritime expertise can play key role in the future development of offshore wind in the region, NORWEP offshore wind delegation to Taiwan aim to open more business opportunities for NORWEP Partners in Taiwan’s round 3 project of 15GW.

  • Meetings with Round 3 Developers & Key Contractors including SRE, Taiya, Ørsted, CiP, ShinFox, DFO, CDWE, Jan De Nul, Floatation, Skyborn, Heerema etc.
  • Attend offshore wind technical sessions
