Markets

Taiwan

Taiwan is one of the most active offshore wind markets in Asia, with a total installed capacity now exceeding 3GW and a global ranking of 5th in 2024.

Building on this momentum, the Taiwanese government is expanding its vision beyond fixed-bottom wind farms to include multi-use marine areas that maximize the value of ocean space. Key technology areas have been identified, including underwater anti-corrosion solutions, floating marine renewable energy systems, and subsea drones (UUVs/ROVs/AUVs).

As Taiwanese developers expand their offshore wind operations across the APAC region, they bring with them valuable local experience and a strong drive for collaboration. Norwegian offshore and maritime expertise is well-positioned to play a key role in this continued development.

This delegation aims to create concrete business opportunities for Norwegian companies interested in contributing to - and benefiting from - Taiwan’s 15GW Round 3 offshore wind projects.
