Business delegation to KenyaHydro energy Solar energy
Take part in the renewable energy programme during the planned official visit by HRH Crown Prince Haakon to Kenya in 10-13 February 2020!
Because of the recent passing of former Kenyan President Daniel Arap Moi, a day of national mourning was declared on 11 February, the date for the original programme. As a consequence the high level visit with HKH to Kenya is postponed. A revised business programme took place on 10 February. The revised programme and presentations held can be found under the tab documents and presentations.
The business delegation in conjunction with the official visit is organised by Innovation Norway, and offers an excellent opportunity for Norwegian companies to meet relevant business partners in Kenya.
Norwegian Energy Partners will be responsible for the session on renewable energy, and we invite companies to join us and discover energy opportunities in Kenya or to advance in ongoing projects.
The renewable energy seminar will focus on developing and financing hydropower and solar projects in Kenya, including distributed solutions. We will also facilitate for B2B meetings with companies and stakeholders in the Kenyan energy sector. We are also organising a field trip on 12 February focusing on opportunities in floating solar in Kenya.
Benefits of participating
Participants will have access to all elements in the business delegation programme, including:
- A plenary opening ceremony with high-level guests
- Seminars, roundtables and site visits within relevant sectors of the Kenyan-Norwegian bilateral trade.
- Two business dinners for Norwegian companies/organisations and their Kenyan counterparts.
- Outreach to Kenyan and Norwegian media.
The visit is a unique door opener that can provide access to high-level officials and executives, and participants will have the opportunity to invite Kenyan counterparts to the delegation programme free of charge.
