About Cranemaster

Cranemaster is a specialist provider of shock absorbers and heave compensators for offshore crane and lifting operations. Cranemaster units compensate forces and motions directly at the load or hook level, securing offshore lifting operations and enabling clients to work in higher waves. For more than 35 years and nearly 1000 successful projects, clients worldwide have been able to increase the operational weather window, improve operability and reduce risk.

We have a large rental fleet of Cranemaster units for lifts up to 1600 ton ready for immediate dispatch. In addition, we develop units tailor-made to specifications and offer a variety of analysis and engineering services.

Passive Heave Compensators for offshore lifting operations increasing operating window during subsea installations

  • Reduce DAF during splash zone crossing
  • Eliminate resonance during lowering down the water column
  • Minimize vertical velocity during subsea landing when AHC is not available

Increase operability of platform cranes by Cranemaster Shock Absorbers

  • Recalculate load charts for platform cranes to maintain full lifting capacity at higher sea states
  • Close to 100% operability maintained at sea states up to Hs = 2 meter

Cranemaster for Offshore Wind Applications

  • Protection of crane and rigging during pile hammering
  • Increased operability when offloading from barges (feeding)
  • Increased ship stability during installation from floating vessels
