Value proposition

Vipo has supplied rubber for severe corrosion protection for more than 60 years. Rubber is chemically resistant to all corrosive agents commonly encountered in the offshore sector. Anywhere steel is exposed to corrosion, it can be protected with a rubber lining. Rubber has significant elasticity and strength, and wears extremely well in arctic and cold climates.

Typical rubber based corrosion protection applications include: • Subsea structures, equipment and pipes, often in combination with thermal insulation • Risers and structures in splash zones, often in combination with passive fire protection • Topside structures and equipment • Inside tanks and vessels • HISC (Hydrogen Induced Stress Cracking) protection
