About Wellstrøm AS

Wellstrøm AS has been established to combine the knowledge, experience and creativity of three specialist companies to develop sealing technologies for the oil and gas industries.
Drawing on the industry-leading backgrounds and a track record of decades of innovation, the team will be led by its CEO, Gert Rege who will work closely with the experienced teams in the partner companies to rapidly develop and commercialise the new technologies.

Rawwater Engineering Company Ltd. is a specialist in oilfield reservoir souring and simulation forecasting, the inventor of the Bismuth Plug and creator of the world's first Bureau Veritas-certified 'anticipated' 3,000-year-life cast metal seal for oil and gas reservoir plugging & abandonment. The company provides contract research and consultancy in the fields of materials science, well integrity, water management and solutions for facilities design, and is developing ‘Molten Metal Manipulation (M³)’ - a range of new alloys and application techniques to provide high integrity, reversible metal seals for the nuclear industry and other sectors.

Aarbakke Innovation AS is a technology innovations and development company established in 2013 in Bryne, Norway. The company performs engineering and technology development for several external clients, ranging from very small companies to larger international operating companies and technology/service providers. Also, AAI does a number of own technology developments focused on wireline deployed complex rig-less P&A technologies, wellbore heating, and more.

K2 Oilfield Services AS is a specialist oilfield consultancy company founded in 2018 focused on delivering innovative, simple, reliable and cost-saving perforating and P&A solutions. It won its first contract with Total last year and continues to support the maturation of some of their key P&A technologies.
