Value proposition

A major challenge in oil production from horizontal wells is increasing the total oil recovery from the reservoir. Most wells and fields only recover and produce a limited portion of the actual oil in a given reservoir due to unwanted water and gas breakthrough.

The Autonomous Inflow Control Valve (AICV®) completely shuts off unwanted water and gas at breakthrough points and is unique in that it can stop unwanted fluids completely without choking the parts of the well that are producing oil.

AICV® technology offers reduced surface water handling, along with additional time and cost savings during installation, resulting in over 550,000 tons of atmospheric CO2 emissions spared over the course of 4 years.
