Value proposition

AKSO has extensive experience in topside design from harsh environment (the NCS). The experience covers topsides for both fixed and floating platforms and a variety of topside designs with different functions. Winterization is an important feature of the arctic topside design. Designing the topside for low temperatures including snow/icing is a very important feature relevant for all areas of the Arctic.

Aker Solutions has experience from topsides with winterization design ranging from the Aker-H6, the Shtokman FPU and the recent Johan Castberg FPSO design. Having a topside designer understanding the arctic environment and how it impacts the topside design is important, especially in the Arctic where low temperatures impose new HSE issues compared to conventional developments.
