Proper metering is crucial to optimise production efficiency and minimis energy usage. Conventional flow meters require long free lengths of pipe and production shutdowns for installation and maintenance, adding operations cost, space required, weight and complexity. Xsens clamp-on flow meters solve the above issues: while having accuracy similar to conventional meters, the technology and the low weight allows easy installation close to bends and valves with minimum impact in terms of space and weight. It reduces the installed cost of the meter by 50% while allowing for more efficient low carbon operation of production facilities. No shutdowns are required to install or maintain the meter, saving further costs and GHG emissions.
