Plant efficiency is increasingly under focus in terms of reducing excess energy consumption and reducing GHG emissions. Online plant performance monitoring is the quickest way to see where energy is being used and equating that to GHG emissions.
The DNV ‘alert’ system enables a whole plant model to be produced. The model uses real-time sensor data as input to calculate expected theoretical performance. Comparing the theoretical with the actual performance allows tuning of operational parameters enabling improved, more efficient asset performance, which translates into lower GHG emissions and improved profitability.
