Multiconsult offers leading expertise and special design tools for the successful design development of floating structures, i.e. production units and drilling rigs, for operations under cold climate and harsh environmental conditions.

Special considerations under arctic conditions are required and include loads from sea ice and ice impact on structures, sea spray icing and snowdrift, abrasion, winterization and countermeasures in the event of an iceberg.

Through decades of R&D activities within arctic and cold climate in general, special methodologies have been developed. By integration of metocean data, hydrodynamics and arctic marine technologies knowledge we assure that the design of steel platforms is reliable, safe and cost-effective.
