Seawater injection is the most important means of IOR, improved oil recovery. Prior to injection, the water must be deoxygenated to prevent corrosion of piping, equipment and bacteria growth in the reservoir. Conventional technologies like vacuum and chemicals for deoxygenation require chemicals, leading to reservoir souring, significant space and weight impact on the installation, and increased logistics.

Minox provides a lightweight and compact solution for topside deoxygenation of injection water, achieving very low levels of oxygen without any use of oxygen-scavenging chemicals. The reliable and proven technology provides a green and cost-effective deoxygenation alternative compared with competing technologies.
