Value proposition

Effective crude oil separation is essential to achieve and maintain the highest possible production output at the lowest possible environmental footprint. Sulzer’s VIEC (Vessel Internal Electrostatic Coalescer) technology enables separation of oil/water emulsions by introducing an an electrical field using fully-insulated electrodes in the separator, creating sufficient electrical field strength and retention time for emulsions and liquids to separate. This significantly reduces the operating temperature enabling considerable reductions in energy and chemical consumption, reducing the CO2 footprint and providing an immediate return on investment.

Identified as a Lower Emissions Oil and Gas Solution (LEOG).
