About NORWEP

Norwegian Energy Partners (NORWEP) was established on 24 April 1997, originally as an initiative for oil and gas (INTSOK). In 2017, renewable energy (INTPOW) was incorporated into the foundation. NORWEP is funded by the Norwegian government and the Norwegian energy industry, with a mandate to support the internationalisation of Norwegian technology and energy solutions.

NORWEP creates targeted, relevant dialogues between Norwegian suppliers and international customers. The purpose of our activities is to help Norwegian companies win international contracts in energy sectors such as petroleum, offshore wind, carbon capture and storage, hydropower, solar power, and hydrogen.

This work contributes to increased value creation in Norway and helps secure Norwegian jobs.

NORWEP has local presence in key energy markets through contracted energy advisors. NORWEP provides market and industry insight, understanding of industrial and supply chains, and connects Norwegian companies with export ambitions to the right international customer contacts at the right time.

NORWEP is part of Team Norway and collaborates closely with the foreign service, Innovation Norway (IN), and Export Finance Norway (EksFin).
