Two Legacies, One Vision

The NORWEP we know today is the result of a strategic evolution. Our story began in 1997 with the foundation of INTSOK (Norwegian Oil and Gas Partners), created to export Norway’s world-leading subsea and offshore technology.

As the world began to look toward a greener horizon, INTPOW (Norwegian Renewable Energy Partners) was established in 2009 to champion Norway’s strengths in hydropower, wind, and solar.

In 2017, these two pillars merged to form Norwegian Energy Partners. By bringing together the heritage of INTSOK and the forward-thinking spirit of INTPOW, we created a unified organization capable of supporting the industry across the full energy spectrum.

The Strength of the Transition

This merger wasn’t just about administrative efficiency; it was about the Energy Transition in practice. Many of the suppliers that once focused solely on oil and gas are now global leaders in offshore wind, hydrogen, and CCS.

Because of our history with both INTSOK and INTPOW, NORWEP was uniquely positioned to guide this shift. We understand the "Norwegian Model" of innovation—where the rigorous standards of the North Sea meet the urgent needs of a sustainable future.

We reach this 29-year milestone at a time of historic success. With the Norwegian supplier industry recently surpassing NOK 200 billion in international turnover, it is clear that the global appetite for Norwegian solutions is stronger than ever.

Our "True Insiders"—local advisors in over 30 markets—continue the work started nearly three decades ago: opening doors, providing market intelligence, and bringing Norwegian companies closer to contract.
