Dear NORWEP Partners,

NORWEP is planning an HVDC workshop in the UAE in October/November 2024 (Dates TBA), with potential expansion to other regions if successful and replicable.

Some of the Middle East EPC’s (Petrofac, Aker Solution, McDermott) and shipyards (Dubai Drydocks) are currently expanding their capabilities in building HVDC topsides, and notable projects have been awarded across various countries in the Middle East.

However, we understand that the time available with EPCs and yards is limited, and your time is valuable. Despite this, we have fostered positive relationships with some of the yards and conducted a brief workshop in last year as a preliminary trial. Now, we are tasked with creating a draft agenda and value proposals to ensure that our time and efforts align as closely as possible with their targets.

To gauge your interest, please respond with a confirmation of your interest here by April 15th.

When you have expressed your interest, we will reach out to you to request an unique value proposal (UVP) targeted for HVDC topsides.

Subsequently, we will engage with the EPC’s and yards to assess their interest.

The yards have so far indicated that the workshop will be limited to 15 companies, and the yard will be active in choosing the companies.
