Norway and the US - together for a sustainable future!

This summit is the chance to meet the developers with the lease areas offshore California and other relevant offshore wind stakeholders.

California, with its around 40mill residents, has an ambition of awarding 25 GW within 2040. Close to 6 GW has already been awarded to RWE, CIP, Equinor, Ocean Winds and Invenergy. All sites will require floating solutions. With more opportunities on the horizon, in the state north of California, Oregon.

Norway has a lot to offer within floating offshore wind. The first floating turbine was installed in Norway in 2009, the Hywind demo, which is still operational. Norway is also the home of the world's largest operating floating wind farm - the Hywind Tampen project (95 MW️~11 turbines).

The delegation is in connection with H.R.H. Crown Prince Haakon's official visit to the US.
