In connection with IEF25, NORWEP is pleased to invite delegates to an exclusive site visit to the Northern Lights CO₂ Terminal and CCB Energy Blue Hydrogen Plant.
Northern Lights is the world’s first open-source CO₂ transport and storage infrastructure and has been operational since 2025. CO₂ received at the terminal is transported via pipeline for permanent storage in a geological reservoir 2,600 metres beneath the seabed.
The CCB Energy Blue Hydrogen Plant, completed in 2023, is the first in the world to produce hydrogen from natural gas with integrated carbon capture.
