NORWEP is again organising the Norwegian delegation to FOWT 2026 - the world’s largest event dedicated exclusively to floating offshore wind energy - on behalf of Team Norway.

France’s floating offshore wind market is moving from demonstration to commercial scale. The 25 MW Provence Grand Large, France’s first operational floating wind farm, is fully commissioned and delivering electricity to the grid. Two others, Éoliennes Flottantes du Golfe du Lion and EolMed, are expected to commission operations in Q1 2026.

Larger floating sites of 250 MW each, on in South Brittany (AO5) and two in the Mediterranean (AO6) have been awarded in recent years, and the current (AO9) round is expected to close in 2026 and offer additional scaling opportunities for the industry with COD 2031-33.

While pricing expectations are still challenging, the learning curve is now tangible, likely making floating “mainstream” in the 2030s, with a strong base in the french industry.

For Norwegian supply chain companies - from floating substructure specialists to export cable, substations, mooring, and installation and operations service providers - the French market offers concrete avenues for collaboration, technology deployment, and commercial contracts.

Join the Norwegian delegation to:

  • Engage directly with potential partners and clients in targeted business meetings and workshops.
  • Showcase your unique value proposal to international floating wind stakeholders.
  • Get prominent exposure to potential clients, partners and other stakeholders during the Team Norway networking lunch.
