Invitation to join the Norwegian delegation to Conference - Energy NL, a key platform for connecting Norwegian and Canadian energy companies and exploring offshore and energy opportunities in Atlantic Canada. Participation in the NORWEP delegation (NOK 5,000 for partners / NOK 10,000 for non-partners) is subject to separate registration for the Energy NL Conference. Conference registration is handled directly with the organiser and follows their pricing schedule. The conference normally fills up so, we encourage you to sign up as soon as possible and ask for the additional lobster fest ticket.
The goal is to demonstrate Norwegian competence, meet Canadian expertise and at the same time facilitate increased cooperation and learning between Norwegian and Canadian companies in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Our activity is a cooperation between the Canadian Embassy in Oslo (Tone Nymoen), the Norwegian Embassy in Ottawa and Norwegian Energy Partners.
Energy NL is Eastern Canada’s leading offshore energy conference, bringing together operators, regulators, supply‑chain companies and decision‑makers involved in offshore oil & gas, CCS and the energy transition. With major Norwegian‑relevant projects on the Canadian East Coast, the conference offers a unique platform to understand upcoming opportunities, regulatory frameworks and operator needs, while positioning Norwegian offshore competence in a mature but growing market.
Joining the Norwegian delegation provides access to key Canadian stakeholders through dedicated meetings, site visits and networking activities arranged specifically for participants. The delegation gets visibility under a Norwegian brand, lowers market‑entry barriers, and helps companies connect and learn from others with similar market challenges.
We are at an early stage of preparation, but our sketch of the program is as follows:
The site visit on Monday, 1 June (TBC) will include Memorial University/ The Launch - a facility for testing and validating ocean technologies in cold areas (Home - The Launch - Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland)) and Aker Solutions.
We are pleased to confirm that the NORWEP delegation to the Energy NL Conference in Canada will proceed as planned.
Following strong interest and several requests for additional time to complete internal approvals and clarifications, we have decided to extend the registration deadline to Wednesday, 13 May.
Please note that participation requires registration for both the Energy NL Conference and the NORWEP delegation. You can register for the Energy NL Conference here and for the NORWEP delegation here.
