US demand for CCUS and hydrogen remains elevated while oil and gas activity continues with stronger emphasis on emissions reductions and operational efficiency, supported by a mix of federal and state incentives and corporate procurement. Norwegian suppliers are well positioned in CCUS for CO2 capture modules, subsea transport engineering and subsurface storage and project development services, leveraging Norway’s storage and offshore experience. In hydrogen the near-term opportunities are in large electrolysers, engineering for green hydrogen value chains and maritime/handling equipment for hydrogen and ammonia logistics. For oil and gas, exports of electrification and subsea power solutions, methane-abatement and gas-processing technologies and decommissioning expertise are immediate prospects, though recent policy and procurement details should be checked for the latest eligibility and timing.
