Value proposition

DNV has comprehensive experience from analysis, design verification, qualification and full scale testing from maritime, oil and gas, windmills and fishfarms. Typical activities are i) materials performance under arctic conditions, ii) advisory and testing, iii) full scale testing under simulated arctic conditions, and iv) technology qualification for the Arctic. Our experience includes tailored testing of equipment in climate chambers providing realistic arctic environmental conditions.

Large-scale testing comprises capabilities qualification and verification testing of fibre ropes, mooring chains, steel wires and lifting accessories. The biggest machine (Bergen) has a 2,900 ton load capacity for static and dynamic testing of samples up to 20 meters length.
