The Naxys ALD is an acoustic leak detector that detects and localizes any leaks (hydraulic, oil, MEG, water or gas), providing excellent area coverage, where an ALD can monitor a large manifold or a cluster of wells. Since delivery of the 1st version installed in 2006, more than 100 systems have been installed for permanent leakage monitoring on the Norwegian Cont. Shelf, Gulf of Mexico and Africa. The ALD also allows the Operator to monitoring vibrations and noise emissions from the subsea production system, such as Flow Induced Vibrations & Pulsations; monitoring features that can proactively be used to take actions before an incident escalates into a leak.
