EFFECTS is Gexcon’s advanced user-friendly software tool to simulate the consequences of the accidental release of dangerous chemicals in process, chemical, and petrochemical facilities. It calculates heat radiation from fires, over-pressure levels from explosions, toxic concentrations and dose from clouds, as well as damage, to determine whether prevention and mitigation measures are required. EFFECTS is based on the internationally recognised standard: the “Yellow Book” and has been continuously expanded and improved since then for more than 35 years. The software is designed to have a short learning curve and be configurable for both experts and occasional users.
