IKM’s Methane Emissions Quantification (MEQ) service provides survey methods to develop bottom-up models of emissions which can then be verified by top-down survey. Traditional IR cameras have a sensitivity of 60 g/hr, versus the IKM system at 0.01 g/hr. Improved sensitivity reduces reported emissions by providing accurate leak rates. Over an installation, these could correspond to 20 tonnes/year saving. Improved quality of data allows for better decision making and remediation.
