Unique value proposition (UVP)
In order to design for the environmental conditions the installation shall operate under, there is a need to establish the metocean design basis. In a cold climate this may include sea ice, icebergs, snow and icing, in addition to the conventional environment from wind, waves and currents. DNV GL has experience both with establishing and verifying metocean design bases for cold climate areas and for conventional areas. DNV GL delivers advisory, verification and technology qualification services, supporting all aspects of designing arctic offshore structures, including: - Metocean design basis, including ice, snow and icing - Estimates of marine and atmospheric icing
