The 3DRILL™ generates high resolution, very precise 3D Models of drill bits with photographic representation for digital inspection. The system also includes a fully automated AI-based dull bit grading software. By utilization of this system, E&P operators and drill bit companies will realize a series of benefits that is not possible with manual, subjective dull bit grading systems. One advantage is drill bit optimization and selection, ensuring the best drill bit is selected for each application, based on results on previous runs at comparable conditions. Furthermore, the 3D visualization and dull bit grading data may be used to understand drill bit behavior downhole and optimize drilling parameters to achieve higher rates of penetration and longer bit life.
