BESS provides high reliability power supply capacity with no loss of availability to production operations and can replace conventional redundancy in standby equipment. This enables a reduction in operations and maintenance costs as well as GHG savings of up to 20% by allowing powerplants to run in N-mode instead of (N+1) mode - with further significant cost savings depending on the existing equipment configuration.
