On the Norwegian continental shelf, approximately 90 percent of emissions from producing oil and gas comes from generation of power and heat. Aker Solutions delivers solutions in order to replace natural gas with electrical power from renewable sources resulting in significant reduction of these emissions. Aker Solutions offers services and technology for projects related to the electrification of topsides and general offshore and onshore installations and plants. This is done by connecting the production facility to the power grid or other renewable energy sources such as wind power in order to reduce emissions from generating power and heat from natural gas.
