In relation to the official Qatar visit to Norway, Norwegian Energy Partners (NORWEP), together with the Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organize an energy seminar September 4th. Qatar remains a key market moving forward, and the energy industry has expressed interest in us hosting a networking event. Some Norwegian companies have experienced success in Qatar, many others are eager to enter the market.
The seminar will focus on the potential for increased collaboration between Norway and Qatar, exploring shared challenges and opportunities. As a major gas supplier to Europe, Norway exports most of its gas production and has been a leader in innovative, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly solutions. Norway is actively involved in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) through initiatives like TCM and the Northern Lights project.
The seminar will feature both large, successful companies and smaller enterprises specializing in niche solutions that address major challenges, such as producing more energy with lower CO2 emissions and also how these technologies contribute to the energy transition. Additionally, the Norwegian Model will be highlighted, showcasing:
NORWEP represents a unique and long-standing public-private partnership, with over 25 years of experience in promoting collaboration and advancing the international presence of Norwegian industry. As a non-profit foundation established by the Norwegian government and the private sector, we are driven by the industry’s needs and priorities. Our mission is clear: to bridge global demands with the cutting-edge technologies and solutions Norway has to offer.
Due to security reasons, you need to be registered as a participant. If you are interested in an invitation to the seminar, please submit your request to Mr Sjur Bratland or Beate W. Øglænd
There will be a formal attire and we expect the press to be present.
