Purpose of the Webinar

As part of the NORWEP OTC 2026 Program, NORWEP is collaborating with ExxonMobil and other U.S. operators to deliver a series of operator-led Technical Events during OTC week.

This webinar is the first step in that process, and ExxonMobil will participate directly, sharing insights into their technical focus areas and expectations for the Call for Interest.

The aim is to move beyond traditional technology pitch sessions and toward focused, problem-driven technical engagement, where:

  • Operator priorities are clearly articulated upfront
  • Technology partners understand real technical and operational constraints
  • Discussions center on deployable, high-impact solutions

This session ensures a shared understanding of operator needs and success criteria ahead of the Call for Interest phase.

What You Will Learn

1. Operator-Defined Technical Themes (Presented by ExxonMobil & U.S. Operators)

During the webinar, ExxonMobil will be present to walk participants through the four themes they lead, and a U.S. operator (TBC) will define Theme 5.

  • Subsea Systems (ExxonMobil) – Cost‑Competitive & Longer Deepwater Tiebacks
  • Automation & Digital Operations (ExxonMobil) – Progressing Toward Highly Automated / Autonomous Offshore Operations
  • Topsides (ExxonMobil) – Designing Carbon‑Efficient, Low‑Intervention Topside Systems for Remote Offshore Environments
  • Marine Systems (ExxonMobil) – Solutions Enhancing Integrity & Operability of Hull, Turret, Mooring, and Offloading Systems

Further in the program we will invite NORWEP partner companies to engage in technologies related to:

  • Subsurface, Wells & Completions, Cost‑Competitive Subsurface, Wells & Completions Technologies Enabling Higher Recovery, More Efficient Operations and P&A.

NORWEP encourage partner companies to engage in above mentioned themes, as several operators have already indicated strong interest. We anticipate facilitating workshops and tailored meetings with the relevant operator teams as the process develops.

2. Scope, Assumptions & Focus Areas

A clear alignment on the technical framing operators expect technology partners to work within.

3. How to Position Your Call for Interest Submission

Guidance on shaping high-quality, relevant submissions that reflect operator priorities and deployment‑focused value.

Why This Webinar Matters

This session builds the essential technical foundation for the Call for Interest phase.
By aligning early and hearing directly from ExxonMobil, technology partners can:

  • Increase the relevance and quality of submissions
  • Engage in operator-driven, challenge‑focused discussions
  • Understand constraints and success measures directly from operators
  • Prepare for high‑impact technical interactions during OTC week

This is not a sales session — it is a technical alignment briefing.
