Taiwan is one of the fastest growing offshore wind markets in Asia and at the same time possibly the most accessible one.  Most of global offshore wind developers have established in Taiwan market with confidence and optimism in Taiwan’s determination to achieve energy transformation goals and Net-Zero emission targets by 2050.  More international and domestic industrial players are actively entering round 3 market auction in Taiwan.

Taiwanese offshore wind industry is growing fast and looking for cooperation with foreign companies with knowledge and solutions for the entire value chain especially when floating wind projects potentially becoming a better solution in the deeper water zone in round 3.  The Norwegian offshore and maritime expertise can play key role in the future development of offshore wind in Taiwan, NORWEP offshore wind delegation to Taiwan aim to open more business opportunities for NORWEP Partners in Taiwan’s round 3 project of 15GW.

NORWEP activities during business seeking mission to Taiwan

• We are planning B2B meetings for NORWEP partners with support from Taiwan's authorities.  Meetings with developers and industrial key suppliers will be arranged during the 4-day program.
• NORWEP plans to organize a “Norway-Taiwan Offshore Wind Forum” together with MIRDC/MTIC to present NORWEP Partners who sign up for the delegation.
• Networking events during program hosted by the Offshore Wind Team Taiwan and NORWEP is being planned. Details on date, time and venue will be advised at later date.

Travel

Arrival latest March 4, program starts 5 March. All participants are responsible for their travel related reservations and fees, i.e., hotel, flights etc. We will revert with reference for hotel booking.
