Non-intrusive clamp-on level measurement and profiling for separators and other pressure vessels

We are developing accurate non-intrusive technology for separator level measurement based on Guided Elastic Waves (GEW). Our sensors detect liquid, interface and solids levels. Measurement of emulsion and foam layers is under development. This is an ongoing technology development supported by 6 operators companies and the Research Council of Norway. After extensive lab testing we carried our a series of full scale tests in onshore and offshore facilities. We plan to carry out three offshore pilots in Norway in 2027-2028 and the technology will be commercial after that. Our activities are supported by a Joint Industry Project (JIP) and we are looking for 1-2 additional operating companies to join this effort in 2027-2028 together with the existing partners.
