A major contributor to the emissions from offshore installations is the power demand from operating facilities and utilities. Operators are therefore searching for technologies & solutions to mitigate/abate this situation. Electrification of offshore assets from shore has a significant effect on decarbonization of oil & gas production, particularly when there is a renewable power source. In Norway, where electrification of (major power consumers of) Brownfield assets are now progressing, Aibel is a leading player. The Aibel-led Oseberg partial electrification will reduce emissions from offshore production by approx. 320,000 tonnes per year. Identified as a Lower Emissions Oil and Gas Solution (LEOG). *Use company contact for detailed value proposition.*
