Offshore wind structures carry some of the most demanding dynamic loads of any engineered asset — wave, wind, rotor, and for floating units the mooring system as well. WISE Group's Structural Health Monitoring Systems give owners and operators continuous, data-driven insight into the integrity of fixed and floating installations: vibration, displacement, modal behaviour, hull stress and long-term fatigue accumulation, measured in real time.
Measurement is provided by AIM, WISE Group's own multi-MEMS inertial platform sampling at up to 1 kHz, with array and matrix configurations time-synchronised for mode shape analysis across a whole structure. Around 150 AIM units are in offshore service today.
The output is built to be used, not merely recorded. SHMS data feeds digital twin models, asset performance monitoring and integrity management programmes, giving operators the continuity that periodic survey alone cannot provide — and the evidence base for life-extension decisions on foundations, transition pieces, substations and floating hulls.
