As offshore wind substations grow in scale and distance from shore, helicopter access becomes a routine part of O&M rather than an exception — and every movement depends on accurate, real-time deck data.
WISE Group's Helideck Monitoring System is certified to CAP 437 Edition 9 by CAA International and engineered to satisfy the full range of regional standards in a single installation, including BSL D 5-1, NORMAM-223 and HCA Standard Rev 9c. Wind, visibility, precipitation, air temperature and deck motion are measured and presented through DADAS, putting the parameters that govern a landing decision in front of the operations team at the moment they are needed.
Motion is measured by AIM, WISE Group's own inertial sensor, delivering the significant single amplitude motion, inclination and period specified by CAP 437 — capability proven on floating rigs and FPSOs, now applied to floating substations and accommodation.
Over 25 years of helideck deployments across the North Sea, the Norwegian Continental Shelf, Brazil, West Africa and Southeast Asia.
