ABB has detailed knowledge and extensive experience from applying safety standards and governmental requirements from all parts of the world. We deliver personnel safety systems for safeguarding personnel and equipment on and around an installation according to international rules and standards and adapted to meet local safety requirements. Telecom on Goliat FPSO: Goliat is a floating production, storage and off-loading platform, 85 km off the coast of Northern Norway, where it processes oil from the first field to be developed in those waters. The telecom package allows technicians to manage and monitor the Goliat on the platform itself, and also from onshore operation center. As well as the usual data links, the platform connects with vessels within a range of about 10 km.
