Wood has been an engineering partner for studies, modifications and upgrades since 1980 on onshore facilities such as Slagentangen, Rafnes, Inovyn/INEOS plants and Kollsnes. Wood has performed work such as installation of process units, including piping and replacement of process units such as pressure vessels and heat exchangers. As well as installation of glycol filter package and global PPS system for gas pipeline. Low temperatures, lack of daylight during winter, atmospheric icing and snow accumulation are potential challenges when operating in arctic areas. Wood has competence and experience with implementing mitigating measures in order to achieve a safe and reliable facility.
