Unique value proposition (UVP)
Wood has been an engineering partner for studies, modifications and upgrades since 1980 on onshore facilities such as Slagentangen, Rafnes, Inovyn/INEOS plants and Kollsnes. Modifications of refinery process and utility systems, comprising mechanical, piping, and electrical and instrumentation design, including specifications for purchase and follow-up of subcontractors. Larger engineering modifications include upgrade of cooling water systems and upgrade of flare system in ethylene plant. Low temperatures, lack of daylight during winter, atmospheric icing and snow accumulation are potential challenges when operating in arctic areas. Wood has competence and experience with implementing mitigating measures in order to achieve a safe and reliable facility.
