Over the past 30 years, Multiconsult has been involved in the development of all onshore oil and gas facilities in Norway, from early phase to detail engineering. Design and construction of infrastructure in arctic areas pose challenges due to operational issues such as polar lows, snow/icing, permafrost and darkness. Weather protection (winterization measures), heating and logistics are also of importance. Our experience stems from many onshore installation and terminal projects and is mobilized to handling all project phases of varying complexity. We have the required resources in-house and combine our expertise in traditional civil engineering with our industry-leading competencies in arctic and cold climate engineering, geotechnics and rock engineering.
